4WD USERS 4WD owners from all over Adelaide are taking advantage of our low bench test rate of $10 flat fee. Over time, radios can loose their receiver sensitivity and transmitter power can drop off. Modulation deviation can change. How you ask? Because of vibration in vehicles in a mobile environment changing the alignment, and because of ageing components changing their values. Yes, if you think your radio is not performing as well as it should be, remove it from your vehicle and drop it into the shop. For a flat fee of $10 we will check your UHF on the bench using state-of-the-art Hewlett Packard HP8920B industry benchmark test gear. We check: 1. receiver sensitivity 2. squelch threshold 3. transmitter power 4. transmitter frequency 5. transmitter modulation If you think you are having antenna problems, for a flat fee of $10 we will check the forward power going into the antenna from your UHF transmitter and the SWR (impedance) of your antenna to ensure that you are delivering full transmitter power to your antenna, and capable of receiving weak signals. We use industry reference Bird 43 test gear.
Check your UHF before heading off on your holiday. For a modest fee you will ensure your UHF is delivering the performance the manufacturer designed into it. One of the advantages of buying your UHF radio from a radio shop is the service and advice you receive and the product support you receive when you have problems. Website auction sales generally do not offer this. Worth remembering for your next UHF purchase.

If you are in the city we can courier the radio across town. If you are in country areas we can arrange for our national courier to collect, or you may send by post.
MARINE USERS We service marine radios for commercial and leisure craft. HF, 27 MHz and VHF, including DSC. Authorised by the Govt of South Australia to carry out marine radio surveys (radio inspections) for commercial vessels.
COMMERCIAL RADIO USERS We service commercial radios for fleet users on repeater networks. Corporate and govt inquiries welcome.
